While the Covid-19 pandemic may be mostly over, it is still important to take precautions to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff. As such, we continue to encourage all members of our college community to take measures to protect themselves and others from the virus.
Although there are currently no reported Covid-19 cases in Nigeria, we must remain vigilant and prepared to respond should the situation change. We recommend that all members of our college community continue to follow the guidelines set out by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), including:
- Washing your hands regularly with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
- Wearing a mask or face covering in public spaces and when physical distancing is not possible.
- Maintaining physical distance from others, avoiding large gatherings, and minimizing unnecessary travel.
- Staying home and seeking medical attention if you feel unwell, especially if you experience any symptoms of Covid-19, such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.
We also encourage all students, faculty, and staff to get vaccinated against Covid-19 as soon as it becomes available to them. Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of the virus and protect yourself and others from illness.
By following these guidelines and taking proactive measures, we can continue to keep our college community safe and healthy, even in the absence of reported Covid-19 cases in Nigeria.
We will continue to update these guidelines going forward according to emerging findings and events regarding the COVID-19 situation in Nigeria.
