In April 2012, CAHST received a Presidential and National award for Innovation in Nigeria, the ceremony of which was held in the Banquet Hall of Aso Rock Villa, Abuja. Following this development, CAHST was assisted 100% by grants from the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Finance and Youth Empowerment with Innovation in Nigeria (YouWiN) program of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration in 2012.
CAHST is registered and incorporated with the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) under the Corporate and Allied matters Act of 1990. The College had been visited by NBTE on 19th July – 22 July 2013 when her name was still known as NIISTO and consequently, has had the legal framework to provide Educational Services in Nigeria since 2011. The first batch of students was enrolled in 2011 and graduated by December 2014, and about 60% of the graduates have been employed, some even with International Health Organizations within the first two months of graduation.
